<p>The guide Roca España Costa Blanca North describes 40 sport climbing areas from Calpe in the south to Castellón de la Plana in the north. In the meantime, the Costa Blanca has developed into one of the best climbing areas on the Iberian Peninsula - because in a very small area you can find well over 100 first-class sport climbing areas on sun-drenched rock.</p><p>The areas around Calpe have been sought-after destinations since the 1980s. When climbing was out of the question for weeks in cold Northern Europe, the climbing community was drawn to the Spanish Costa Blanca. One of the most popular destinations is the Sierra de Toix with over 200 routes. Those who like it a little bit more alpine will find exposed multi-pitch routes at the striking Peñon de Ifach. For the first time, the guide presents the small area of Coves Roges near Gata de Gorgos. Some climbing areas in the hinterland such as Barranc de I'Avern, Montesa, Bellus and Vallada with its ingenious sinter routes are also described. Of course Gandia and the Top Grotto El Bovedón with its endurance routes are not missing. One of the most beautiful discoveries, the wall of Tallat Roig with almost 150 perfect routes in the pleasure area on ingenious rock, is also included! Above the lively town of Buñol there are several canyons and gorges with over 30 sectors on the finest rock. At Castelló de la Plana the climbing areas of Borriol, Cucalla and El Castellet, which are completely unknown in the German-speaking world, are explored.</p><p>The more than 3,000 climbing routes are presented on precise photo topos. For each area, the pictogram header provides all important information about the climbing area. Numerous detailed access maps in different scales together with the precise GPS data make orientation much easier.
