Description

Warm and functional as it is, the Swisswool Piz Duan Jacket fits perfectly into the Swiss insulation range of the Ortovox brand. The jacket is appropriately named after the 3135-meter-high peak in the canton of Graubünden, as well as an unbeatable combination of materials that promises protection, insulation and low weight.

The tried and tested SWISSWOOL filling has been given another upgrade: Thanks to an elaborate processing technique and the adapted material composition, the insulation made from fairly produced Swiss sheep's wool is not only wonderfully warm but also elastic. Together with the stretchy edging around the jacket, this ensures a great fit with plenty of freedom of movement - perfect for going all out on demanding high-altitude tours in summer or on winter ski tours.

A functional inner lining ensures great moisture management when you start to sweat, while the DWR waterproofing keeps wind and moisture out. Despite its good thermal performance, the Swisswool Piz Duan jacket is pleasantly light, can be stowed in its own chest pocket to save space, and can be easily attached to a climbing harness or backpack thanks to the loops.
