Description

The Salewa Ortles Ascent Mid GTX alpine mountain boots - here the women's version - convince in technically demanding terrain, on high altitude tours with and detours over ice and snow with thoughtful solutions for optimal protection and the best performance for modern, sporty alpinism. The comfortable mountain boot, suitable for combi crampons, with robust leather upper, is permanently waterproof and breathable thanks to Gore-Tex® lining. The insulating lining keeps the feet above the tree line sufficiently warm even at lower temperatures.

The optimized interplay of stabilizing elements with flexible inserts creates very good mobility in the mountain specialist thanks to the elastic gaiter shaft. Proven, partly newly developed technologies such as the Flex Collar shaft construction in conjunction with the stabilizing Ankle Protector System or the 3F System for support in the ankle area that can be dosed through the lacing with excellent heel lock contribute significantly to a very comfortable wearing experience for the category.

This also includes the 3D Lacing lacing system divided into the 3 areas forefoot, midfoot, and shaft for a targeted adjustment of the fit. As a conditionally crampon-compatible mountain boot, the Ortles Ascent Mid GTX has an optimally stiffened midsole construction with rocker support in the heel area and a lightweight and very grippy Vibram® Alpine Guide outsole with a climbing zone.
