Description

Whether Outside or Backpacker Magazine, the American trade press is unanimous: the Portal 1 tent from Slingfin is the most stable ultralight tent and can even withstand the snow load in winter. At approx. 1.1 kg, that's a real statement - especially as the Portal doesn't let up in terms of its features either.
<p

To ensure that the tent is stable in the wind and does not collapse under snow, Slingfin incorporates elements of its expedition tents into this 1-person dome. In addition to the many options for tensioning the tent excellently on the outside, you can also tension the poles using internal guy lines. You can attach your trekking poles to the cross poles at the top to give the tent an even more excellent load-bearing capacity.
<p

Furthermore, the portal uses exclusive materials and a very high-quality, durable silicone coating. All of this has been processed to the highest quality standards in order to withstand any load.
<p

Furthermore, the climate inside the Portal 1 tent remains comfortable thanks to the adjustable fans on the doors and the mesh inner tent. The doors can be opened wide so that you can get plenty of air inside in excellent weather and enjoy the view. The poles are positioned in such a way that the tent has plenty of space (especially headroom) inside with steeply sloping walls.

In addition, the Portal 1 tent offers you the option of pitching either just the inner tent or just the flysheet. In the latter case, you can use the separately available Portal Tube Footprint to reduce the weight even further and pitch the Portal as a single-wall tent.
